Hello everybody !
I'm in Australia since 6 months and I want to share with you my opinion about it.
At the beginning I was a little bit scared about being in an unknown country but right now that I know this country, I love it ! There are so much different things that you have to discover but I'm going to tell you every little details about my experience in Australia.
Of course living in Australia is really funny but I miss my family so I did this blog especially for them.
Hope you will like it

Australia is a land composed by 6 states and 2 territories, his capital is Camberra but I currently live in Sydney, it's in the south-east part of Australia.
During my first months in Australia I've seen the fauna and flora, like the great barrier reef who is called the largest « living thing on earth » because there are a lot of different animals, sharks, poisonous snakes, different species of fishes, turtles and many other things. I wanted so much to see them that I went diving in the pacific ocean and I was breathtaking to see how amazing the ocean can be so colourful and lively.
In the same day, I've became friend with australian people and I'm not going to lied to you but these persons are the most extrovert and kind people that I ever met in my life.
They proposed to show me « special » thing about Australia and in the evening when there was no clouds in the sky I seen the southen cross who is a cross that you can only see in the southern hemisphere. That's remind me of the Australian flag who is composed by the union jack (a symbol of british settlement), the commonwealth star and the southern cross.
Also, the next week after that I've been at the sydney O'Pra for seeing a musical show and it was really impressive because the person where aborigines who were played a musical instrument called « Didgeridoo » but at the same time with the rhythm of the music there were painting.
Two months later...

I woke up at 5 am in the morning to see the sunrise behind the «Uluru» who is a symbol of aboriginal culture.
And also I go to the beach for a lesson of surf but I'm terrible at it ! When I get out of the water I've seen a kangoroo jumping with his baby, it's was really cute.
So for finish the day I go in the outback for a trip where I slept in a tent .
In the morning, my friends that I talked to you before in this blog said to me that It was a shame that I never eating vegemite so I taste it.....
It's was A-W-F-U-L. It's like eating a mixture of salt and something disgusting.

The day after that, I've met new friends who were aborigines. I was really curious about the history of their past generation, so I asked them a lot of questions and I've learned that in the past the aborigine have different activities like hunting, fishing and trapping but in the first half of the 20th century their life where changed with the white domination.
The aborigine lost their land because the whites dispossess of them by force.
I was not aware of that and that shocked me because I think that the « whites » were not allowed to take something who aren't for them and maybe kill someone for some sorts of power … No seriously it's rudilous.
Also, my new friends take me to a little village in the outback where I was allowed to see an aborignal ceremony. In the village was exposed many painting more beautiful one than the others.
But my attention stopped at a house where I saw a flag and a few minutes after that a little aborigine woman come out for talking with me and at some point the woman told me that the flag on her house was the aboriginal flag composed by three colors, red, yellow and black and all of them have a meaning, the yellow is for the sun, the black for the aboriginal people and the red for the earth. She also told me that some kind of people think that the aboriginal people who live in the outback are the subject of prejudices and that's maybe true because they don't have access to education or government but it's just the negative part of it because some children can go to cities and study and they trying to find solution.
When I left the village I was really touched by all the emotion that this little woman shared with me and I promised myself to learn more about the aborigine and their culture because it's really interresting to see differents things and share with others peoples who doesn't have the same life or culture than you.

Two months later

The 26th january, I was going to a national party who is the « Australia day », I saw a movie poster that reminds me of the woman that I saw in the village where I went two months later. I remember all the story that she told me and that encourage me to go see the movie.
The day after, I go to the cinema for see the movie «  Rabbit Proof Fence ».
The story takes place in Australia ( in the outback ) and it is a true story of the past generation and their actions on the agoriginal people. In short , it's the story of three girls who are separated from their family and take to a settlement and judge by persons from the government for know if they are white enough for having a good education. Later they trying to escape from the compound for finding they aunt and find her.
Also, if you want to know more about it go see it !
At the end of the movie I was really affected by the story in general and I was thinking that judging a person for not being perfect enough is pathetic. I really like this movie because he makes us thinking about the action of the past generation and show us that the person in the movie and in real life can be touched by that mentally and emotionally. The scene that chocked me the most was when a man check the children for seeing if they are white enough, it was like this man was some sort of god and decided for their future.
When I go home I searched for more information about this periode of the time and I found a video who has the tittle «  sorry speech », it's was made by kevin rudd who was the prime minister and he did a political speech about the mistreament of aborginal people in the past and apologize for the tragic event ( separation of families ) that happened in 1994.
He did this because he wanted to show to the aboriginal people that people are not trying to avoid this event but on the contrary trying to turn a new page for everybody and for having a better relation between aboriginal and white australian.
I think it's a very important speech in national history because that show us the exemple of someone who wants changement for everyone and that hope still exist.

So it's the end of my blog and I hope that you enjoy travalling through my eyes during a part of my life that I put in a blog.
Thank you for reading me and see you later (maybe) !:)
