(Et puis je n'ai pas d'idée de comment créer une sorte de couverture comme un livre si jamais vous avez des propositions)
Merci d'avance pour l'aide.

Où j'en suis dans mon devoir

February 5, 1892 - My name's Ashley Smith. I was born on 10 february 1872 in Limerick, a town of Dublin. My dad and my mother was doctors, but they died in a fire last year. I have a little sister, her name is Allyson, she will be sixteen in two days, the date of the departure. A friend proposed to work with him as a farmhand so I stopped the school to earn a living, and my sister continued to go at school. Life's too tough in Ireland, so I have decided to try my luck in America.

February 6, 1892 - Tomorrow it's the great departure ! I am frightened, but hopeful. My sister stays with my aunt and my uncle. When I've saved enought money, I will send money for them. I dread to saying good-bye to my sister, we'll both be heartbroken.

February 7, 1892 - Then, I am on board HMS Shamrock in Dublin. I'm scared and excited at the same time, but the adventure begins now. I hope that Allyson's birthday goes well, I miss her already.

February 8, 1892 - I am in a room where there is already an another person. It's a man and his name's Ryan. He is my age and from Dublin. But I will have prefered that there is a girl in the room.

February 9, 1892 - I am in the steerage, and the food is not very good. Toilets and floor are dirty and filthy. I am a little seasick, and there is an unbearable smeel. I spoke with Ryan, he is nice and he has an older brother.

February 10, 1892 - Today is my birthday. I am tired but Ryan organized a party with other friends on deck. Everybody was dancing and singing, I laughed well.

February 17, 1892 - There is almost not water and food on the boat, and days are more and more long and hard. The captain of the boat said me we'd arrive within a few days.

February 21, 1892 - I'm in New York. Ryan and I rented a small room. On Ellis Island, the first test was the "six-second medical exam", as they call it. A doctor took care of me and after there was the interviews with legal inspectors. I had to answer several questions: if I have relatives here, where is my final destination, if I could read and write... I lied a little but it was not important. Some families cried, because they could not stay. Later, I took the ferry to Manhattan with Ryan.

March 8, 1892 - Ryan leave me a letter or he says he'll go to California. I am a little sad.

April 2, 1892 - I have found a job as a cleaning lady for a rich couple, I'll get $22 a month. They have an unbearable girl, she shouts all the time and she is rotten spoiled. But I never complain otherwise I risk of loses my job.

October 6, 1892 - Today I've received a letter from Ryan. He is in San Diego. He's found a good job, he is a cook in a famous restaurant. He wants to come to see me.

February 10, 1893 - Allyson sent me a letter, she wishes me a happy birthday. She announces me that my uncle died and that my aunt was very sick but a doctor try to look after her. She makes me kisses.

Ryan leaves me a letter in which he tells me..
....I could lose my job.
...to come and see me.
...but a doctor tries to...She sends me a lot of kisses.
