Où j'en suis dans mon devoir

My parents were from France. They both wanted to come to America to realize their « American Dream ». Their dream was to have a big family and be home owners of a big house. When they arrived in 2001, they married. Later, my father found a good job in town's finance department and my mom was the head of a small shoe-repair business with a nice local client base. In 2005, my father was promoted, but he had to move into another state. My mother refused to leave her job so he rejected his promotion and he became depressed. In 2006, he wanted a divorce but my mother said that she wants to keep peace in the family and encouraged him to start up a company, but it was a terrible idea because the company went brankbrupt, he began to feel animosity to my mom, moreover she left her small shoe-repair to work full time for a large insurance company.
Three years later, my father finally found a job in a company, but this job was basic and he had to commute 100 miles to work and back each day. My mother was totally obsessed with her work she didn't want to lose it, so she had to work over 60 hours a week just to make sure she can keep her job. Seven years ago, my mother wanted to please my father and buy their own McMansion because he has always envied his friends who can afford it. They lived their « American Dream » a moment, but after their dream became a nightmare because she lost her job and they were in a critical financial situation. Finally, they decided to resell the McMansion to repay their many debts.
After all, they also separated, my father returned to France but my mother stayed in the USA.

They lived their "American dream" for a while. But their dream became a nightmare because my mother lost her job. My parents were in a critical financial situation. Eventually, they decided to resell the McMansion to pay off their many debts. They also separated. My father returned to France, but my mother stayed in the USA.

In 2006, he asked for a divorce but my mother said that she wants to keep peace in the family so she encouraged him to create his own company. Nevertheless it was a terrible idea because the company went bankrupt, he began to be mad at (ou blame my mom) my mom. Moreover she left her small shoe-repair to work full time for a large insurance company.
Three years later, my father finally found a job in a company, but this job was common and he had to travel (ou cross) 100 miles to work and 100 miles more to come back (ou A return trip from home to his work...) each day. My mother was totally obsessed with her work she didn't want to lose it, so she had to work over 60 hours a week only to be sure she can save her job. Seven years ago, my mother wanted to please my father so they bought their own McMansion because he has always envied his friends who can afford it. They lived their « American Dream » a moment, but after their dream became a nightmare because she lost her job and that caused a critical financial situation. Finally, they decided to resell the McMansion to repay all of their debts.
After all is said and done, they separated, my father returned to France but my mother stayed in the USA.

Il est possible que j'ai raté quelques trucs! Néanmoins, petit conseil, fais des phrases moins longues, cela réduira tes fautes et ce sera plus facile à comprendre! Bon courage :)
