Hello everybody, today I’m going to talk about Antoine Griezmann. 

I’ve divided my talk into three parts. First, I’m going to talk about his youth, then I will talk about his career. Finally, I’m going to speak about his private life. So, let’s start with the first part!

His youth

Antoine Griezmann is a French soccer player. He was born on March, the twenty first in nineteen ninety-one in Mâcon. His parents are Alain and Isabelle Griezmann. 

Antoine’s father was a coach in a football club, US Macon so Antoine Griezmann has always been next to a football stadium. He was never without his soccer ball. His first football club was US Macon but he wanted to go to youth academies. However, he was rejected because he was too small. In 2005, during a tournament, Antoine Griezmann impressed a football club, Real Sociedad. The club offered a youth contract to Antoine Griezmann, he accepted.

His career

In twenty o nine, he is called to play a match with the senior team. After that he signed his first professional contract with the Real Sociedad. In twenty fourteen, Griezmann left the Real Sociedad to go to the Atletico Madrid. In 2016 he lost the champions league’s final against the Real Madrid. Antoine Griezmann won his first European trophy with the Atletico Madrid in twenty eighteen, he won the Europa League. Last year, Griezmann signed a contract extension at Atletico Madrid until 2023. The Madrid’s supporters love him.

His international career

In 2010, he is called to the French team aged bellow 19 years old to participate in the European Cup that they won. In 2014, Antoine Griezmann is called to France’s senior team. He participated in the World Cup in Brazil. The France team lost in the quarter final against German team. In 2016, The France Team participated in the Euro in France. They lost in the final against Portugal, however he was named the tournament’s best player. Last year Griezmann was called up to the France team for the World Cup in Russia. They won the World Cup on the 15^th of July.

His private life

Antoine Griezmann lives in Madrid with his wife who he met in San Sebastian in 2011, her name is Erika. They got married in 2017. The couple have a daughter, Mia and they will have a baby boy in April. 

Anecdotes

He is always with a Maté, a traditional South American caffeine-rich infused drink.

Griezmann uses a fortinte celebration which calls “Take the L”.  But before this celebration, Griezmann had this celebration (je montre), the celebration was a dance from Drake’s music video “Hotline Bling”. 

Griezmann is mad about Beckham, Griezmann watched Beckham play for Manchester United and also wears the number 7 Jersey to honour his idol;
