You must choose an object invented in the real world. You mus find informartion on one of the patents in the country of origin.It can be any country with the exception of France. You must also find information on the administrative procedure for talking out a patent in that country. You will have access to the Internet for your research. Finally,you will expose yout findings to the rest of the class by making an oral presentation accompanied Oppen office

What is this technology that allows to build easily weapons and orthopedic prosthesis at the same time, at any corner of the world and which costs almost nothing?
Only one machine is able to do that: The 3D printer.
Initially very expensive, this technolgy of thirty years old was used in industry to carry out prototypes quickly.
It is directed by a computer which reads a simple file containing the model of the object in 3D and it converts it in requested product.
The 3D printers have become accessible to all for few times : the prices start from 400 euros up to thousands of euros for a machine of quality. Still few extra hours are necessary to the printer to design the object.

There are two ways to create objects: first using a CAD program (Computer Aided Design), we created a 3D virtual file that is transmitted to the printer and makes it so real . Another way, if you aver home a 3d scanner point you can scan the object of your choice, send the file to the printer.

But how does it work 3d printer? For the moment only the object can be created plasique. The printer has a heated platic certain temperature to make it in liquid form. The printer superimposes plastic layer model based on virtual given. The model takes the form physic and is cooled by a fan to solidify.

What is a patent? A patent gives the inventor the exclusive right to operate its procédé.All inventions are not likely to be patented. The conditions are that the invention must:
-be absolutely new and have not been brought to the attention of the public or sold.
- Be the result of an inventive step.
present-an industrial character.
But what is the interest of the patent?
The patent protects the invention against any spell copy in a stirred for 20 years, the patent authorizes the sale of the object, but if nothing is done to last for years to March 1, the patent is removed.

This technology was invented in 1986 by Chuck Hull, founder of 3D Systems. To obtain a patent, Chuck hull has had file and request a pto project (and tradmark Patent Office). It is the U.S. office responsible for issuing patents and trademarks in the United States.

The project is henceforth 3d printer and Sev global companies working on the project so that everyone can have a cheap 3d aprimante him. The day today, the 3d printer only at the stage of prototyping and is only used in business.
