Wall Street is the name of a street of New York, and by extension, a district to which she belongs. It is also the common naming of New York Stock Exchange. But in reality, only the business of the actions is made in 11, Wall Street.

The stock exchange of Wall Street was born on May 17th, 1792. This day there, 24 stockbrokers signed " the agreement of Buttonwood ", of the name of the tree under which they had met. This agreement fixed a common rate of commission, to standardize the exchanges of titles.

It is not possible any more to visit the trading room, since September 11 attacks. You can however go on the scene of the creation of the stock exchange, in 68-70 of Wall Street. A plate calls back the event.
