Journalist : Hello I am Jane Taylor! I am very pleased to meet you Mr. Mandela!
N Mandela: Nice to meet you too!
Journalist: Today, this is the the anniversary of Soweto uprising and I would like to have your thoughts on this tragical event!
N Mandela. Soweto uprising is a very painful memory! I lost many friends that day. But for South Africa, we made an important step towards the end of Apartheid
Jane Taylor: Well Mr. Mandela, do you think that Soweto uprising helped the Black people to put an end to arpatheid. What did you think of apartheid at that time,
N Mandela. Yes we finally managed to withdraw Afrikaners as an official language. So we won an important battle. Apartheid was very unfair to me and black people. We were regarded as second class citizens. We did not have the same rights as white people. That was very unfair because South Africa was our land and we were considered as strangers!
Jane Taylor: Do you think that South Africa is a much better place now?
N Mandela : Oh definitely! There are still some problems like aids, unemployement, but basically the situation has improved and I am very proud of being a South African!
Jane Taylor : I am glad to hear this Mr. Mandela. And I was very pleased to meet you! I really do think you deserved the nobel price!
N Mandela: I was more than happy to meet you and talk about my country. You can come back whenever you want Mrs. Taylor
Jane Taylor: Alright Mr. Mandela. See you someday!
N Mandela : Good bye Ms. Taylor
N Mandela: Nice to meet you too!
