Dear mother,
I arrived in Australia yesterday in the afternoon. Before, I was very sad to leave England, but I start to think that life is not bad here. These 18 hours flight were extremely long and boring and I've slept a lot. I was also very stressed. Here, the weather is pretty nice and everyone looks happy and smiling. But, the food is special, like kangaroo meat, Australians love it.
I hope you are well. I love you. Your son John.
