You are an exchange student from Britain and you are going to America for two weeks.
You will attend school while you are there. Your teacher in school in Britain has just given you this document and has asked you to read it in order to prepare your trip.

Read the document and then answer the questions. Remember the reading strategies you have already seen.

About our school

Seaman School is a public school situated on approximately 30 acres of land in the center of Wildwood. When the original building was erected in 1957, it housed all of the students in the Wildwood School District from grades one through twelve. Additions were made nearly each decade since then. Major renovations to the school took place in 1985 and in 2004. The auditorium has just been renovated. A new gymnasium is being constructed as the old one is too small. Seaford is adjacent to newly renovated baseball/softball fields and a park. Seaford School enrolls approximately 1000 students in grades 7 and 8.

Dress Code
Pupils do not have to wear special clothes but:

Caps are not allowed

Girls mustn’t wear very short skirts.

Visible underwear is not allowed.
No piercing jewellery is allowed.
Official sports kit compulsory for all sports competitions.

News!!!!

Last weekend our School Concert Band performed in Atlantic City with 10 others from New Jersey. Each band gave a twenty minute performance for judges, and then a clinic with the judges followed the performance. Our school was given a rating of excellent by the judges.
