Où j'en suis dans mon devoir

Dear Mrs Burnett,

My name is Jade. I’m 11 years old. I live in France. I go to school in Saint Vincent Providence. Last June, our teacher asked us to read a book and write a letter to the author. First, i choose on the list, the Secret garden but finally i decided to read a little princess because my mum and sister told me that’s the story is so nice.

And it was true. I like your book. I like the main character Sara Crewe. She is very intelligent, polite and imaginative little girl.
I think it should be hard for her to arrive alone in a new country. Even, if she has the best room with a sitting room, her own maid and her own carriage. it’s very hard to move to another city. you loose all your friends. but, Sara soon becomes friends with Emergarde and Becky, the servant. She is not alone anymore.

I like how she is. She is very strong, simple, sensible little girl.
She notices immediately that’s Mrs Minchin is not a good person. But she tries her best to be good. Even, if she is treated like a little princess, she is not selfish or arrogant. She tries to help everybody.

I feel very sad, when on her birthday, normally, it should be the best day, she learns that’s her father, Capitain Crewe’s, suddenly died of jungle fever and leaving Sara penniless. Poor Sara, she is alone without any family in a country she doens’t know. I would like to ask you why Sara has no family, like grand-parents, or uncles?

By the way, after this news, Mrs Minchin tells Sara to change room and turns her into a servant girl. She becomes more strong. Luckily, she has Becky as a friend who help her. all the time Sara is telling story to her doll. This help her to not become pessimist. It's nice to have imagination. i would like to have some imagination like Sara.

Finally, I like the end of the story. Because Mrs Minchin, who wants all Sara's fortune, was punish for what she did to Sara. The capitain Crewe's friend keep his fortune and find Sara in the boarding School. He help her to get out of this school and give her all the fortune.
What i don't really understand it's if his father really died? because it's not very clear in the book.

Thanks for writing this book. Now i will read the secret garden and perhaps i will write you another letter if you don’t mind.

Sincerely

Jade

Coucou.
First, i choose...
finally i decided to ...

N'oublis pas les I maj si tu copies à l'ordinateur. ;-)

My name is Jade. I’m 11 years old and I live in France. I go to school in Saint Vincent Providence. Last June, our teacher asked us to read a book and write a letter to the author. First, I chose "the Secret garden" but I finally decided to read "a little princess" because my mother and sister told me that it was a very good story.

And it was true. I like your book. I like the main character Sara Crewe. She is very intelligent, polite and an imaginative little girl.
I think it had been tough for her to arrive on her own in a new country. Even, if she had the best room with a sitting room, her own maid and her own carriage. it was very difficult for her to move to another city. you lose all your friends. but, Sara soon became friend with Emergarde and Becky, the servant. She is was then not alone anymore.

I like the way she is. She is very strong, simple, a sensitive little girl.
She immediately found out tha Mrs. Minchin was not a good person. But she tried her best to be good. Even, if she was treated like a little princess, she was never selfish nor arrogant. She tried to help everybody.

I felt very sad, when on her birthday, whereas it should have been the best day of her life, she learned that her father, Capitain Crewe’s, suddenly died of jungle fever and therefore leaving Sara penniless. Poor Sara, she was alone without any family in another country. May I ask you why Sara has not got any family like for example grand-parents, or uncles?

By the way, after hearing the death of Sara's father, Mrs Minchin told Sara to change room and to be a servant girl. She became stronger. Luckily, she had Becky as a friend who helped her. all the time Sara was telling stories to her doll. That helped her to not become pessimist. It's nice to have imagination. i would like to have some imagination like Sara.

I really did not understand her father's fate? Did he really die? In my mind, it was a bit confusing in the book.

I would like to thank you for writing this book that I really appreciated. Now i am going to read the secret garden and perhaps i will write you another letter if you don’t mind.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon,

Sincerely,

Jade

Premier paragraphe :
That the story is too/so nice (pas that's qui veut dire "c'est")

Second paragraphe :
I like your book --> I like the book you wrote ? simple proposition...
"she is a very... little girl ou aolrs she is... for a little girl.
Even if : pas de virgule. comme en français : même si...

3ème paragraphe :
Au lieu de répéter good je te propose de mettre I tries my best to be kind.

4ème paragraphe :
Encore that...

5ème paragraphe :
she has Becky as a friend who help her (elle a Becky comme ami qui 'laide) peut sans doute de venir :
Luckily she has her friend Becky to help her (elle a son ami Becky pour l'aider) ou encore :
Luckily her friend Becky helps her... (son ami Becky l'aide)
This helpS...
L'adjectif pessimiste se dit pessimistIC.
J'aimerai avoir autan d'imagination que Sara--> I would like to have as much imagination as she have.

6 ème paragraphe :
Mrs Minchin was punished.
Captain et non pas capitain
he helpS her
