Gap Year

Introduction :

I will talk about space and exchange, through gap year. Firts of all, id'like to give a definition of this notion.
An exchange is the act og giving something in substitution for something else. In toyday's modern day world these exchanges can take several forms like economic, cultural or movement of people like gap year for exemple.
Gap year it's a break in student's studies, during this time off the student can make a travel, can work or be voluntary.

Problématique :

We try to see : What types of gap year is better than other ?

Plan:

There are three types of gap year. In a first of all we'll talk about the travelling gap year, on the second time we'll talk about working gap year and for the last time we'll talk about travelling gap year.

I) Partie

Many students choose to travel around the xorld or just in their contry. Where we go travelling and for how lonh are really down to personnal preference. Travel around the world permit to getting a feel for other contruies and cultures. There are many advantages to make a time off, it's a great opportunitie to learn new languages or to combine your travel with the languages school. Often languages classes can be bought relatively inexpensively you can acquire real insider knowledge of the contruie you are travelling in. In general if we take a time off we can meet new peoples, new friends and develop new relationship. Travel around the world provides an opportunity to open our mind to other we socialize meeting other too. Make a travel give you the time to think about your college choice, to decide what to do at third level.
However money is needed to do a gap year. Make a time off permite to have fun before adult life. However to take a gap yaer it's necesary to have money. It's more difficult to take the studie again it's difficult to keep the rhytm, it's esear to lose focus again.
Make a travel permit to discover lot of things like cultures, languages, peoples. However it's easy to lose focus and rhythm after gap year. So many other students choose to make a working gap year.

II) Partie

A gap year can also be a good time to get a foot on the working life. Lot of students choose to make a working gap year to discover news sectors. It enables them to determite if they relly want to work in this sector or not, or if they hanvn't take a decision to discover new way of career. Make a working gap year can help you to discern exactly what type of work you can do and don't like but often it can expose you to a whole range of career options you never even knewd existed.
Take a year off before university is a good way to work to pay your studies for exemple in a document we ssaw during this year “ Should you go to universitu in US” we saw that american's university are expensive. Full coats range from around $25 000 per year. Working gap year permit to add line on your resume too. As university admission places become increasingly competitive, having a good CV can be a great way of distinguishing yourself from the crown.
If you are on other contruie you can learn new languages. It's a good way ti be more organize for you college life and be more mature too.

We can get together the travelling and working gap year to make the voluteering gap year. It's like a travel in other contruie to work, to help peoples .

III) Partie

Many students choos to spend there gap year is on charity or volunteering projects. We can say that their are four types of gap year : environmental projects, building projects, healthcare projects and the last teaching projects. The environmental projects permit to work in a wildlifes sanctuary or animal shelter for rescued or heritage sites. The building projects permit to help peoples to building vital resources for the community under the anstructiuon of qualified architect. We can buil for exem^ple an adequate irrigation, build hospital or school. The Healthcare projects permit to help, to assits doctors or nursesin a hospital. We can working to promote education on healthcare issue like HIV or AIDS. And the last, teaching project permit you to share your experience on other contruies. Teaching english include teaching kinds in developping contruies to speak, read and write, and helping women to become self empowered. This four types of voluteering gap year permite to help other peoples all around the world and share amazing moments.

Conclusion :

These three types of gap years permit to explore the world in differents way, with differents experience. The choice of what kind of gap year is relly personnal and depend of what you whant to do, to live during this time off. Their are , of courses, many disavantages like there are many great advantage. Some aren't better than other, it's just a personnal choice to see the world and to live this year.
