J'aimerais obtenir une correction pour cet exercice que j'ai réalisé :

Complétez le texte suivant en mettant les verbes entre parenthèses au prétérit ou au plus-que-parfait ( simple ou en be + -ing ) :

The first time Dunbar came to the village ( be ) late one evening last summer. That afternoon, as he ( stroll ) by the river, he had found a wounded woman. She ( bleed ) from a nasty wound on the head and seemed disoriented and frightened. Since he ( can, not ) revive her he ( resolve ) to take her back to the village. By that time he ( get ) to know the where abouts of the indians fairly well. He ( observe ) them for months and he had noticed how their lives revolved around the hunting of the buffalo. Before his arrival in the prairie he ( share ) the common views of the white settlers and the white soldiers on them. However, now he knew better. He ( know ) them to be respectful of the nature in which they( live ). Altrought it was a symbiosis more than an outer respect.
