Sujet du devoir

Bonjour, pouvez-vous m'aider à corriger le Past Tense de cet exposé que je dois rendre s'il vous plaît ? J'ai du mal avec les verbes... Merci beaucoup !

Où j'en suis dans mon devoir

In “Lamb for the Slaughter”, by Roald Dahl, Mary Maloney has committed the perfect crime. Firstly, Mary used an unusual weapon, a big frozen leg of lamb. The narrator said it himself: “She might just as well have hit him with a steel club.” That has been the thought of the police officers in charge of the investigation. They only thought about a weapon in heavy metal. Furthermore, mare had the good reflex to create an alibi for herself, so the detectives couldn’t have a motive for suspecting her. Indeed, with the grocer’s deposition, the detectives finally assumed that she wasn’t a murderess. Moreover, any ulterior proof against Mary would have been insufficient to incriminate her, due to the fact that she made the weapon, the frozen lamb with her fingerprints on it, disappear. In addition to the fact that she will never be bothered by the police, it’s the irony of the situation that made the crime perfect: the policemen ate the only material evidence.

Je te suggère de tout mettre ton texte à l'imparfait, et de ne pas utiliser d'autres formes de past tense.

In “Lamb for the Slaughter”, by Roald Dahl, Mary Maloney committed the perfect crime. Firstly, Mary used an unusual weapon, a big frozen leg of lamb. The narrator said it himself: “She might just as well have hit him with a steel club.” The police officers in charge of the investigation only thought a weapon in heavy metal could have been the crime weapon. Furthermore, Mary had the good reflex to create an alibi for herself, so the detectives couldn’t have a reason to suspect her. Indeed, with the grocer’s deposition, the detectives finally assumed that she wasn’t a murderess. Moreover, any ulterior proof against Mary would have been insufficient to incriminate her, due to the fact that she made the weapon - that frozen lamb with her fingerprints on it - disappear. In addition to the fact that she will never be bothered by the police again, the irony of the situation made the crime perfect: because the policemen ate the only material evidence.
