Monday 23 January 1835

Dear mother,


I traveled by ship from England to Australia,I was sent to Autralia at New South Wales in a prison colony by British magistrate.I am send here for seven years.When I quitted England,I was scared and sad about quitting my family and my country.I've been transported by coach from London to a chip that was going to Australia;the journey was difficult,I experienced water difficulties,a bad weather and I suffered in the famine during the travel because there wasn't any food on the ship.The travel was unpleasent and terrifying because there was a terrible storm.I was scared and seasick at the same time and I was both afraid and hungry.My journey was too long due to the bad weather and food's problems,it tooked at least three months.
When I arrived to Australia,I have been sent to prison colony in New South Wales,I've been transported to that place by coach.I felt frightened because it wasn't my country, I was also sad because I've been separated from my family,I miss you already mom! you and my brothers too!
