Où j'en suis dans mon devoir

j'ai besoin d'un avis sur ma production :

Martin Luther King

M.L.K was born on January the 15, 1929 in Atlanta in a context of segregation or “hyper-segregation” specialty in the southern states

Martin Luther King had, a major impact on civil rights. Indeed, King played a part in many well-known civil rights movements in the 1950s and 1960s who had huge and enormous impacts on the society.

In 1963, King and other leaders of the civil rights movement organized a huge march for equal rights in Washington, DC. With a massive crowd of over 200,000 followers, the march was protesting racial discrimination in employment, racial separatism in schools, and they demanded minimum wage for all workers. It was the largest gathering in Washington, DC’s history, and the site of King’s most famous speech, “I Have a Dream.”

As a result of the march and the speech, the citizens of the nation began to put growing pressure on the presidential administration of John. F Kennedy, encouraging the president to push for civil rights laws to pass through Congress and become recognized on a national level.

King was assassinated in 1968. With his death, the country lost not only a great leader, but a prominent person who had carried the power to change society for better. The loss of King was a loss for people of all races.

Kathryn Virginia "Kathy" Switzer

She is born on January the 5th 1947 in Amberg. Switzer was born in Germany, the daughter of a major in the United States Army. Her family returned to the United States in 1949.

Switzer made headlines back in 1967 when she became the first woman to run the Boston Marathon with an official bib the number 261 at a time when the marathon was a male-only event.

The men who had participated at this competition considered that like an outrage. Indeed, while running the Boston Marathon, Switzer was attacked by race official Jock Semple.

She take the advantage of victory to express disapproval of women conditions. With this gesture, who made the headlines in all the country in the world, she showed the way to other women and this event had many impacts on the society as demonstrations in the streets and the right to compete in the Boston Marathon in 1972.
