Je dois réaliser une nouvelle. Je ne suis pas très douée en anglais. J'ai essayé de traduire comme j'ai pu mes idées. Pourriez-vous me corriger ?

Où j'en suis dans mon devoir

Petit à petit, j'ai appris non seulement à connaître des gens autour de moi mais aussi cet ouvrier : Steve. Nous nous sommes finalement marié en 1940. Il m'a permise de prendre confiance en moi et croire en mes capacités. A force de croiser ces petits chinois qui gambadaient dans les rues, je me suis mise à me poser pleins de questions. Notamment sur leur passé, mais aussi leur futur. Je me demandais comment étaient-ils arrivés ici ? Que fesaient-ils tous les jours dans les rues s'ils n'allaient pas à l'école car je ne les voyait pas ces petits chinois là où je travaillais. Un soir, en rentrant de mon travail, il fesait nuit et je venais de fermer la permanence de la garderie, j'ai aperçu un petit garçon au trait marqué de fatigue assis sur le trottoir. Je me suis donc approché de lui. Il a commencé par prendre peur et peu à peu je l'ai mis en confiance. Il ne comprenait que très peu l'anglais que j'avais moi même eu du mal à apprendre lorsque je suis venue d'Italie. Il m'a fait comprendre qu'il n'avait pas de famille et qu'il n'était pas le seul. Un sentiment de révolte s'est tout à coup emparé de moi. Je me sentais coupable, j'apprenais à lire et à écrire à des enfants de son âge a quelques mètres de là où il vivait et je ne fesais rien. Je l'ai donc hebergé pendant quelques mois, je l'ai nourris je lui ai appris l'anglais, comme si c'était mon propre enfant. Nous avions beaucoup de mal à avoir un enfant avec Steve, il a d'autant plus compris ma démarche, et m'a aidé dans celle ci. Quelques mois plus tard, et après avoir beaucoup réfléchis, j'ai décidé de construire une structure pour les enfants immigrés de Chine. Il s'agissait d'une école maternelle mais gratuite ce qui ne se fesait pas à cette époque. Grâce à des dons de la population de San Francisco j'ai pu améliorer la vie de ces petits chinois, et leur assurer, je l'espère, un bel avenir. Tu vois ici, la photo la facade de l'école. J'aimerai tellement que tu sois avec moi aider ces enfants. Tu t'y attacherais tout de suite, ils sont tellement mignons. Rejoins-moi vite.



Little by little, I learnt not only to know people around me but also this worker: Steve. We finally got married in 1940. He allowed me to take trust in me and to believe in my capacities. Due to crossing these Chinese youngs which cavorted in streets, I began asking me full of questions. In particular on their past, but also their future. I wondered how had they arrived here? That fesaient-ils every day in streets if they did not go to the school because I did not see them these Chinese youngs there where I worked. One evening, by returning of my work, he(it) fesait harms and I had just closed the office(durability) of the day nursery, I perceived a little boy in the line(feature) marked with fatigue sat(based) on the pavement. I thus approached him. He(it) began by becoming afraid and little by little I put him(it) in confidence(trust). He(it) understood(included) only little English which I I had even had difficulty in learning when I came from Italy. He made me understand that he had no family and that he was not the only one. A feeling of revolt suddenly seized me. I felt guilty, I learnt to read and to write to children of his(her,its) age has some meters from there where he lived and I no fesais nothing. I was taking in at home during a few months, I was nourishing to him, I taught him English, as if it was my own child. We had difficulty having a child with Steve, he understood all the more my initiative, and helped me in that this. A few months later, and having thought a lot, I decided to build a structure for the immigrant children of China. It was about a nursery but free school what not fesait not in this timeperiod. Thanks to donations of the population of San Francisco I was able to improve the life of these Chinese youngs, and to assure(insure) them, I hope for it, a beautiful future.
