Hello, the audience
You were well on RadioLondon
My name is Peter. I am your new columnist; I replace Jack who takes a well-deserved retirement.

I will animate every Saturday afternoon Chronicle Debate
Today we'll talk about something very controversial The Haka

First of all we determine that is what the Haka. It is a Maori war dance ancestral form of man.
Who comes from New Zealand. This ritual, called Ka Mate was adopted by the All Blacks in 1905 famous rugby team.
It was created by a leader of the Ngati Toa. Ngati Toa claim ownership of this dance since 1999.

Ngati Toa’s primary objective is to prevent the misappropriation and culturally inappropriate
use of the Ka Mate haka.
Ngati Toa’s have threatened to file the trademark of this traditional dance, letting appear the possibility of a legal battle.

They believe that the use of this dance by advertisers and the cinema and culturally insensitive.
This exploitation also provokes a big difference between the war rite and the commercial.
I think the use of Ka Mate in cinemas and advertising various brands is inconceivable.
One wonders if today everything must be sold
The Haka, was used by the brand Italian for Fiat women with as slogan
do haka in farcical manner in 2006,as well as in the Hollywood movie Forever
Strong a US high school rugby team performs
the haka in 2008
As announced by the tribe of Ngati Toa's. I find that heavy use progressively erases the very meaning of this dance
If she came to be to market her value shall decrease strongly. Think that Alls Blacks is not right to stop making this dance as long as it is respectfully made.
She is executed for more than hundred years by these last ones before every match. She thus holds an important place in the history and the culture of this team.

You dear listener think that Alls Blacks should stop making Haka either paying the tribe of Ngati Toa to make this dance?
I let you express yourselves in 0 449 98 20 36 38 either on radio.london@2we.uk
