Moi aussi je viens de faire une biographie sur Mandela en anglais, je vais essayer de t'aider.

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was born on July,18th, 1918, in South Africa. 
He's called Rolihlahla because it means " troublemaker " in Xhosa, her native language. It was called Nelson by one of his teachers when he was in primary school, because the childrens had all Christian and English names. Madiba is Nelson Mandela's another name.
Madiba is the name of his clan and it's a form of respect to call that.
He follows and studies laws in 1944. He became a lawyer and political party member: the African National Congress. He has long struggled against apartheid.
In 1961, he participated in a sabotage campaign against government and military installations.
In 1962, he was arrested .
In 1964, he was sentenced, he stay 27 years in Robben Island where he is a prisoner. Mandela became a struggle symbol for racial equality ,
He leaves prison on Februar 1990.
In 1993, he received the Nobel Peace Prize.
In 1994, he became the first black president of South Africa until 1999. He always had the same goal : all men must be equal. So he created a democracy in South Africa .
Even if he was no longer President, he continues his fight against poverty and AIDS .
Nelson Mandela died at home on December, 5th, 2013.

After being sick for a long time Nelson Mandela finally died at home on December 5, 2013."
