History :
Since opening in March 2000 the EDF Energy London Eye has become a symbol of modern Britain. The London Eye is the UK’s most popular paid for visitor attraction, visited by over 3.5 million people a year. The London Eye is the vision of David Marks and Julia Barfield, a husband and wife architect team. Back in 2000, the London Eye was known as the Millennium Wheel. At that time, British Airways was the main sponsor. Today, the London Eye is operated by the London Eye Company Limited, a Merlin Entertainments Group Company. It's the tallest World's cantilevered observation wheel, at 135 metres
What to see :
You can see around 40KM (25 miles) from the top as far as Windsor Castle on a clear day

Opening times :
Hours vary by month, Between January and March, daily 10.00am – 8.30pm. Between April and June, daily 10.00am – 9.00pm. Between July and August, daily 10.00am – 9.30pm and between September and December, daily 10.00am - 8.30pm

How to get there :
To access the London Eye, you can take the tube .The London Eye is located next to several subway stations in London: Waterloo, Embankment, Charing Cross and Westminster but Waterloo is the closest tube station to the London Eye. And we can take rail, bus, coach, car but it's difficult to access because the London Eye is the heart of London. You can also navigate to the London Eye's Millennium Pier by river.
