Sujet du devoir

Places and forms of Power, only the introduction.

I am going to develop the notion of places and forms of power. First of all, I would like to give a definition about it: In politics and social science, power is the ability to influence the behavior of people. The notion of power implies a basic division between those who have and exercise power and those who have none or little of it. Even when authority seems absolute, there are always counter-powers which question it, aim at limiting its excesses and resist it. Whitin this notion, I think it is worth focusing upon the question of the rioters looting for fun or genuine social discontent? I'd like to point out that with this questionwe can see different point of vue of each participant. We are gonna talk about the London riots in 2011.

WITHIN this notion, I think it is worth focusing upon the DIFFERENCE BETWEEN rioters looting for fun and genuine social discontent. I'd like to point out that, by looking at this difference, we can see different point of view of each participant. We are going to talk about the London riots in 2011.

Within this notion, I think it is worth focusing upon the difference between rioters looting for fun or genuine social discontent? I’d like to point out that with this question we can see each point of view of the participant. We are going to speak about the London riots or “Blackberry riots” it’s all started the fourth august 2011 because of the death of Mark Duggan a black man who was shot by police during arrest. To illustrate this I have chosen three documents, one about the women rioters, another which is a discussion between the Prime Minister and police commissioner and to finish a cartoon.
