I am going to talk about the notion « Myth and Heroes ». To begin I will define this notion. Myth comes from the Greek « mythos » wich is a story or set of stories having a significant truth or meaning for a particular culture, religion, society or a group of people. A hero is a courageous person who is ready to sacrifice himself to rescue other people’s. So, now, I will try to explain : what are our representation of the new hero against a former hero ? First I will talk about a hero : Macbeth and then I will talk about an heroine : Malala Yousafzai .

Macbeth is a myth that takes place in medieval Scotland. The hero of this myth is Macbeth but why ? Macbeth is a general and he is the king’s cousin of Scotland. Macbeth met three strangely dressed women who promised him who would become King of Scotland and the Lord of Cawdor. The promised were true and Macbeth becomes king of Scotland and the Lord of Cawdor .

Macbeth has the characteristic of a hero: he is brave, courageous and he made an exceptional meeting

Now, I will talk about Malala Yousafzai . She is a young Pakistani girl and a normal teenager but why she is a heroine ? She protesting in Pakistani for girl’s right to an education. She surviving a Taliban Attack. They wanted to kill her because in her country the Taliban don’t want girls to get an education for many reasons : for religious and to control people more easily. But Malala does not want to end its battle about women's education and she won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014. Malala is a fighter and she is very brave, this is the characteristic of a hero.

To conclude there are male and female heroes . To be a hero one must be courageous brave and have made an action that is unique.
