Bonjours,Je dois écrire 15 phrases en anglais,en commençant par je pense et en utilisant le prétérit sur comment était new york au 20ème siècle.

J'ai déja écrit 3 phrases:I think that new york was the most important indistrial city of united state.
I think that new york didn't had a lot building and monument
I think that new york was crisis financial.

New York was a very interesting city in the 20th century.
It was not as crowded as today and there were many immigrants.
They mostly came from Europe and had to go through Ellis Island
New York was seen as the hope of a new life for many immigrants.
The Statue of Liberty had a lot of meaning for them.
Most of them came from devatasted countries.
It was also the century of skycrapers and tall buildings such as the empire state building.
