Good evening and welcome on BFM TV for an interview with Taig Khris, the French sportsman.
Good evening Taig and thank you for being here!
-Good evening it 's a great pleasure to be here . I really like your show so I am glad I have been invited to take part in it!
So let me introduce you to our viewers… You are Taig Khris; You were mostly unknown to the general public but now you are famous for your feats.
-(Kris laughing) well on May 29th, 201, I set a world record of roller jump by jumping from a platform located on the first floor of the Eiffel tower. After a fall of 12.5 meters, I landed on a ramp of 30 meters high
That’s why you are famous now aren’t you?
Well of course, I was not very famous before but this feat has enabled me to be known by the medias. Some people knew me because I took part in two shows Koh Lanta and Pekin Express.
Let me remind the viewers that your were watched by one million of viewers regardless the number of viewers watching you on live !
Yes this is great! It was a good thing but in the same time I was stressed because I could not afford to fall down. I had to reach my goal!
I understand… You have recently broken another record! So many records!
The journalist is pushing a button on the screen and is playing the video on Taig Kris setting a world record)
Well (laughing) It was on July 2nd, 2011 I set the world record by a long from the sacred heart of 29 meters and at a 16° angleOn that day you broke Danny Way’s record of 24 meters… an American Sportsman.
-That only shows that French people can be very good at this sport can’t they?
Yes definitely they can.
You are very courageous and determined! What is your secret?
I am very motivated and I always want more!
After this first jump of 28.32 meters, breaking the world record, I did a second jump and set the world long jump record of 29.42 meters.
It paved your way to glory and fame in a certain way. Could you please tell us more about your career after this feat or those feats?
Following this record, well those records I have taken part in many charity organizations… I can tell everybody that sport has enabled me to fulfill all my dreams
