Bonjour a tous et toutes,J'ai été absente durant 2 jours j'ai donc loupé les cours d'anglais. Une amie m'a prit les cours d'anglais mais je ne comprend absolument rien.
Elle m'a dit qu'ils avaient fait la description de cette image (http://www.ellisisland.org/photoalbums/ellis_island_album115.asp) ils ont noté les mots clés, se sera a nous de refaire les phrases lors du contrôle a l'oral .
Quelqu'un pourrait-il m'aider a comprendre le cour et a le traduire en français .

Because they were attracted be ar advert encourazing them to go to USA ?
To hav a better life/a better standard of living ( education, food, housing , salary, income hygiene? , wages
To flee/ escape/ run away from poverty and famine , overpopulation, war, natural disasters ( floods, droughts)
