The restaurant which he reserved two weeks ago, before leaving home, is at thirty kilometers from where they are. He presses on the cigar lighter, on the middle of the dashboard, and takes it between two fingers, and lights his cigarette with the red-hot tip. He smokes. The night fell. She looks over/through? the window. Only shadows file. The inn is in the countryside, after a high village, we reach by a meandering road. A brunette, with a bright lipstick, receives/welcomes? them, said hello, smiles them and takes their coast. As she gets ready to hang his grey and beige cashmere coast on a hanger, he stretches the arm to get back Le Monde folded in four in the outside pocket. The brunette, always smiling, the coast still in the hand, move it nearer in order him to hold the newspaper exceeding of the pocket. It’s the one he bought in Grenoble after lunchtime. He hasn’t still time to read it because of the headache and the siesta whose had take up his afternoon.

He hasn’t yet had time to read it because of the headache and the nap he took that filled up his afternoon.

Voila :)

The restaurant that he reserved two weeks ago, before leaving home, is thirty kilometers AWAY from where they are.

The night has fallen DOWN.

She looks BY the window.

The inn is in the countryside, after a village high up, THAT WE CAN REACH by a TWISTING road.

The brunette, still smiling, the coat still in her hand, moves TOWARDS HIM SO THAT HE CAN grab the newspaper sticking out of the pocket.
