Voilà ce que j'ai fait pour la compréhension de texte:

A)

1. This is a novel. "The scene takes place in Victorian England, Jane Eyre, an orphan aged 10, is raised by her strict aunt, Mrs Reed."

Pour l'expression écrite tu pourrais me donner quelques idées stp que je compose un texte. Peut-être parler du fait que maintenant les enfants sont beaucoup plus indisciplinés et moins respectueux (mauvais point de l'éducation stricte) mais qu'une éducation trop stricte est frustrante (dans le sens où les sens enfants "refoulent" leur vraie personnalité)

Pas de souci pour l'écrit

J'ai du mal avec l'expression écrite, je n'ai pas vraiment d'idées, j'ai juste fait un petit début:

Nowadays education is less strict than it used to be some one hundred years ago. For example, before it was improper to speak to a member of the opposite sex, to mention words as "legs" or "bosom" or still showing their emotions in public. Today, all this is over. Talking with someone of the opposite sex is no longer considered to have (as having?) bad manners (mores?), that's completely normal, as showing emotions in public. Strict education and nowadays education have their good and bad sides. Strict education allows society to frame and protect it from excesses in public. It teaches respect, especially towards parents....

Je suis en train de corriger le tout.
Pour l'expression excrite il faut montrer les avantages et inconvénients d'une éducation trop stricte.

ex 2
pour les phrases 2 3 et 4 je ne mettrais le pronom réfléchi
I wash: je me lave
I dress: je m'habille
i prepare to: je me prépare à

Ah j'avais mal compris la question, je pensais qu'il fallait aussi parler de l'éducation actuelle.

Hocuspocus => C'est aussi ce que je me suis dit mais en regardant une série en vostfr j'ai bien entendu "i wash myself" et "i'm preparing myself" et dans les traductions que je trouve il est bien écrit que to wash = laver et que pour SE laver c'est to wash o.s (et ça ne fait pas partie des traductions "secondaires" c'est bien mis à part), pareil pour prepare alors que pour wonder c'est bien écrit directement "se demander" (ce que je savais déjà).

Je t'assure que c'est I wash myself. Je ne sais pas pourquoi les gens disent I wash mais aux USA, ils disent I am going to wash myself. Peut être que les anglais l'omettent mais pas en Amérique.

To wash veut dire laver. I am washing my clothes. Je lave mes vêtements.

C'est I am dressing myself : je m'habille

I was preparing myself to c'est la forme correcte.

la nuance vient que le premier veut dire s'habiller mettre une tenue un costume
et le deuxième s'habiller en général

J'ai corrigé ton devoir. Je te poste ce soir toutes les corrections. Pour l'essai, je t'ai mis de nouvelles idées.
Je trouve que tu t'en es pas mal tirée dans l'ensemble et que tu as progressé par rapport au début de l'année.

1. He is angry because for him she is not allowed to read one of his books. The library and the whole house belong to him and his family. She is an orphan and is dependent on his family. So she is seen as a burden for the family.

2. He throws her a book that hits and hurts her.

3. Jane is bleeding because her cousin John threw her a book. As a result of this, she fell and her head hit the door causing her a cut.

4. She is at first terrified then is furious. She says “My terror has passed its climax”. She is in pain and angry.

She compares John to the Roman Emperors because she had read Goldsmith’s History of Rome, and she had formed her opinion of Nero, Caligula... but also because they were cruel, slave owners and murderers too. In her eyes, John is the same.


C)

1. She does not fear her cousin anymore. She is in pain and is furious and is going to retaliate against him.
“These sensations…..in frantic sort”



2. Mrs. Reed and her servants part them. They feel sorrier for John than for Jane. “Dear, dear! What a fury to fly at Master John”.

3. She is punished and taken upstairs and locked in the red-room
4. When you were a child in the Victorian age and were an orphan or poor, you had no rights and were treated like a second class citizen. Children of upper class did not want to be mixed with children of a lower class. They despised them and had no respect for them. Social class differences were very important. (58 words)


Pour l'expression écrite tu pourrais me donner quelques idées stp que je compose un texte. Today’s education is less strict than it used to be some one hundred years ago. A strict education has both virtues and disadvantages. A strict education enables to teach some essential values such as respect for the others and one’s parents, politeness and good manners. However, a century ago, education was very strict and children often felt stifled because of numerous constraints. They could not express their feelings and did not feel love from their parents. They suffered in silence. Talking to somebody of a different gender was not permitted.

Time has changed and today’s education is more permissive. Children play a key role in the family, parents and children are closer than ever. Parents are there to guide and advise them. Their feelings are taken into account. But sometimes, parents are not able to set limits for their children. And limits are essential for a child. It is important for a parent to tell his/her child what is good or wrong. A child with no manners and limits will later experience problems to be accepted in society.
On the whole, I would say that today’s education is much better than a strict discipline but guiding , loving and setting limits to one’s child are the most important values in a successful education.

Aujourd'hui, l'éducation est moins stricte que qu’il y a une centaine d'années auparavant. Une éducation stricte a à la fois des vertus et des inconvénients. Une éducation stricte permet d'enseigner certaines valeurs essentielles comme le respect pour les autres et ses parents, la politesse et les bonnes manières. Cependant, il y a un siècle, l'éducation était très stricte et les enfants se sentaient souvent étouffés en raison de nombreuses contraintes. Ils ne pouvaient pas exprimer leurs sentiments et ne ressentaient pas l'amour de leurs parents. Ils souffraient en silence. Parler à quelqu'un d'un sexe différent n’était autorisé.

Les temps ont changé et l'éducation d'aujourd'hui est plus permissive. Les enfants jouent un rôle clé dans la famille, les parents et les enfants sont plus proches que jamais. Les parents sont là pour les guider et les conseiller. Leurs sentiments sont pris en compte. Mais parfois, les parents ne sont pas en mesure de fixer des limites à leurs enfants. Et les limites sont essentielles pour un enfant. Il est important pour un parent de dire à son enfant ce qui est bon ou mauvais. Un enfant sans mœurs et limites rencontrera plus tard des problèmes pour être accepté dans la société.
Dans l'ensemble, je dirais que l'éducation d'aujourd'hui est beaucoup mieux qu’une discipline stricte mais guider, aimer et fixer des limites à son enfant sont les valeurs les plus importantes pour une éducation réussie.
