So, We will talk about myth and heroes , but ? What it's mean? Myth represents a theme or character type embodying an idea and hero represent an object of extreme admiration and devotion. These first definition expressed we are going to deal with Steve Jobs and Barack Obama on response of this question. "In what Steve Jobs and Barack Obama illustrate well the notion of myth and heroes and the limits of that." To my mind the documents that seem to best illustrate the notion, are extract from a newspaper call The economist and a second document pull out of the unofficial biography of steve jobs on 2011 and 2012. To begin i'd like to point out that the first document is composed of a photograph and a text. The text Highway to heaven redraws the story of Steve jobs. He began in a garage and became one of the best chief executive of his time according to the economist. He represented the American dream and thats why he was seen as a legend. But it's not everything , many qualities composed his personnality ; hard working , showmanship , strategic vision , perfectionism. Jobs succeeded in doing his products feel personal for the customers using his talents and his natural qualities. So, steve jobs, thanks to the publicity and his very important advertising campaign, was seen as a legend , but is that always been the case? Steve Jobs was also very criticized , a lot of people considerated him as an infuriating worker with relentless energy by his employement. And , his policy of always looking for reduce the cost of his production to the detriment of a workforce without certificate. so, the idea that steve jobs was an exemple for many people because of his qualities , and the fact that even if he was an heroe , he was also criticized. Now we will talk about Barack Obama, he was the first black president of the united states , he succeed to erased the differences between black and white people in America. Like Steve Jobs , he represent the American dream , borned in a poor family , according his speech on the democrat convention on 2004. In fact , his father was born on Kenya and his grand father was a cook for the British. He won the first election easily thanks to black people , who votes on majority and the women. But , at the end of his mandates he lost a part of the trust of his electorate , like steve jobs , he was very criticized for economy issue. In short , Barack Obama and Steve Jobs , are recognized as heroes by they nation because they helped it on economically and socially. To my mind they are very emblematic characters and important for the memory of the united states and the world will remember of they as legends.
