Today, i would talk about the notion of myths and heroes:

A myth is a story that may or may not be true. There may not be records or other proof that they happened, but at least some parts of myths may be true.

Mythology includes the legends of our history, our religions,  stories of how the world was created, and our heroes. These stories have great symbolic power, and this may be a major reason why they survive as long as they do, sometimes for thousands of years.

A hero is a person who is admired for their courage or noble qualities. It can be a character in a book or a film, a cartoon or a person with superhuman qualities. It can also be a modern-day hero, a person who has performed a heroic act or simply our own personal hero, our role model, who we look up to.

I would talk about : 
Why heroes are important to our society ?

A Hero can be an artist like a singer or an actor, an athlete, a politician a hero can be real or fictional.

In the first case, with real people called hero, we can say These heroes are model for people. Because people can found something to admire in these heroes. People can use heroes to lead them in life, to help them when situation is difficult. Heroes can help people to found hope. People need someone looking for them a bit like a perfect person, to found motivation for their own life.

A hero can be someone who achieve his dream, a bit like in the american dream when the immigrants adapt themselves to their new life, have a work and papers. An immigrant is a hero because he tried to get a better life, leaving his own country without certitude to found something really better in a new place.

A hero can also be someone creating something people need life Steve jobs with the Iphone. A hero could be fireman for example too, because he saved lives.

There is another type of hero, fictional heroes.

They are tv show, cartoons or book characters or mythical heroes. Often, kids are watching tv, are reading books, playing games. They are growing up so they are learning life lessons. Watching they favorites characters they are finding role model to help them to grow up. Kids can identify themselves to these characters and to be inspired by their stories.

People need heroes in their lives, heroes are needed to our society. We all need to think to someone better than ourselves to found willpower to build our own ways. Finally heroes are part of us.
